Explosives (Revised from Thresher Handbook)

The sale of explosives to Thresher Agents and the black-market is a constant source of ire to SLA, probably because a lot of it turns up on the streets of places like Mort and in the hands of people only too willing to use it. SLA reports indicate that chemical analysis of 70% of all bombings reveal that the source is from Thresher made compounds. Running explosives is a very lucrative business.

Flame Throwers

So one day there’s psycho engineer sitting in his cubicle, hard at work in the lab thinking it will never end and the boss’s office is ten metres away. He couldn’t be buggered walking over there to set the boss on fire. He has a can of petrol, a bottle of gas and some tubing, voila, squirting huge sheets of burning petrol all over the inside of the bosses office and he doesn't even have to walk over there.

Mortars

The mortar is a wonderfully simple weapon that’s been around for some time in history and used by small units of troops as a way of giving immediate artillery support to them in the field. It basically lobs an explosive high in the air with another explosive and directly down on where it is aimed using trigonometry to work out an angle of trajectory.

Missle Launchers

Man portable missile systems are dedicated pieces of kit that don’t really find there way into a blackmarket unless someone is looking for their specific use. Which is to destroy vehicles, being a guided munition capable of changing its direction of flight as long as its rocket engine has juice to propel it makes them a highly dangerous proposition for pilots and armoured vehicle operators. Due to the high cost of the launcher and the munitions themselves, you can guarantee someone really, really wants you dead if they're pointing one of them at you.

Rocket Launchers

Little more than a solid fuel rocket motor that carries an explosive charge at whatever the tube is aimed at, these are usually even simpler than a grenade launcher and a highly destructive weapon designed to crack hardened targets. The projectiles are unguided and prone to being blown off course by high winds unless the firer accounts for it. They are cheap, very dangerous and cause an immense amount of destruction when they hit home.

Rocket Launchers use Auto support skill to fire.

They do not fit silencers, suppressors or recoil baffling.

Carnage

It’s hard to say if anything good comes out of a War World.

Chemical Enthusiast

Where would we be without the joys of a rampaging drug use and abuse?

Probably a lot better off.

Black Market Biogentics

While the biogenetic implants are not exactly new technology, they still remain a dark-art as far as most people are concerned who don’t understand the process involved in manufacturing them. They are still the preferred choice by most companies apart from TT and Thresher, to augment their armies as they don’t need specialist surgeons and techs to repair complex cybernetics, run software upgrades or do the fine tuning.

More Than Meat

For most of the normal people out there who go to the doctor, either because they’re sick, need a prescription or possibly for some surgery there is the comfort of knowing that they probably covered by the physicians health insurance. The operating room will be nice, neat, sterile and after its all done you get to kick back for a few days in post-op on the happy drugs, decent meal and friendly nurses.

You’ve never been to a ripper-doc have you?

Well you know all those nice things I told you about doctors, well forget it.
