Typical comm chatter between three Spites
Seen as almost a throwback to the older design of the Malice, but with upgrades and techniques created with the Xeno. The Spite is blessed with an enhanced central nervous system with some nerves widened to produce faster movements and reaction times during the short, intense bursts of activity that they are noted for. Other nerves are "hard-wired" to create permanently open combative reflex arcs, while others are altered so as to diminish the pain Spite feel. The Spite's brain actually extends outside the skull with extra white matter packed into their spinal column to provide linkage to a secondary 'brain'. This 'booster' while potentially capable of acting as a second mind in times of stress or extreme need is meant to filter the massive amount of sensory information a Spite deals with. The armored skin of the Spite is much like that of a Xeno save it lacks the chameleon ability and is dotted with secondary eyes and patches of sensitive small antennae. Looser, more flexible joints and tendons allow a greater range of motion while various hard points of chitin mark the various flesh pockets and clamps used to store weapons and magazines.
While given an incredible amount of hand-eye coordination, massive reflexes, and a 360 degree of perception the Spite is neither a sniper or close combat specialist. They are gunslingers and skrimishers, made not for one on one conflicts. The Spite is made to take out anything that moves. Unlike many stormers, the Spite is not concerned with death and destruction. Instead they focus purely upon the number of targets they can neutralize. The more targets there are, the happier they are. While they may fire salvo after salvo at a seemingly indiscriminate pace, each shot is actually a well-aimed kill shot.
A possible problem of the Spite was noted in the psychological evaluation that the stormer often attributes a second personality to itself. Though it is true that the booster contains basic Hunter/Seeker programming in its role as a filter to the main brain it does not have the capacity for sentient thought.
Another secondary issue was noted in a breakdown of communications between the two brains during extended periods of activity. The main brain acts as an oversight for the target acquisition of the booster. In such cases of a breakdown the Spite would fire upon friend and foe until all such potential hostiles had been eliminated.
Due to their training and initial programming the Spite has a frightening amount of control and tends to spend time in between conflicts using meditation or going through practice moves. This gives them a rather cool and detached demeanor when among 'normal' people. Some seem aloof or distracted, as if lost in thought. Others are brisk, rude and always fidgeting and looking around. Despite this they are always ready for action and in fact they consider any other length of time simple transit to the next conflict.
“This thing was as fast as it was ugly. It snapped off shots just as fast as it could squeeze them off and everyone of them was a kill shot. Screw suppressive fire, moment a target popped up it was dead. There was no ambushing the thing either. I folded in to try and get the drop on it. I mean come on, one moment I'm not there the next I am. So I fold in and the thing has a gun already under my chin and one at my chest. They were training rounds but I'm still bloody sore and ready for a rematch.”

“I witnessed them in action. No one could aim as quickly as they did, no one can fire as fast as they did, no one can out shoot them. Frankly, we've made anyone with a gun outdated by comparison.”
