Like anyone can tell you in the World of Progress, you can't always count on an Ebb user to be around to patch you up. Thus medics are still a very necessary and important role in any operating theater. Apparently Karma directors had a sense of humor and decided to create a stormer with the express purpose of prolonging the lives of non-stormers in a battlefield. Great attention was given to appearance as it was decided that being nursed by something as normally monstrous as a Stormer would be psychologically unsettling. Thus a more feminine and maternal look was chosen, resulting in a distinctly female Stormer. They appear surprisingly like human females with obvious features from their mixed genetic makeup. Their skin varies in color, but is mostly a shade of blue or gray. In place of hair they have wavy folds of sculpted skin and small tendrils. Sprouting from their foreheads are several small overlapping shell plates, hard fin ridges define their ears, and their pale blue eyes have no eyelids with several lesser eye spots on the face. Like the cephalopods with which they share DNA, the Serene have advanced visionary perception, can detect gravity via statocysts, and have a variety of chemical sense organs.

A set of chemical sprayers in the mouth deliver a sedative either as an exhaled cloud or in a kiss. The firm, pouty lips contain the glands. While mainly meant for use on patients it also has a use as a defensive weapon quickly knocking out an attacker.

The long, dextrous multi jointed fingers end in a complex set of cilia that can act as multiple tools. Special siphons and internal sealed sacs allow the stormer to hold multiple doses of drugs. A number of sensory organelles on the palms and along the forearms aid in diagnosis. These include some chemical sense organs as well as electroreceptors by which they sense electromagnetic fields. Their hands can produce a viscous goo that hardens into resin to form castes or bandages.

Of course their most notable features are their 'Transfusion Tentacles', two pairs of specialized tentacles on the shoulders and hips can link the stormer's system to another, allowing the superior system of the Stormer to increase the regeneration of a patient or stabilize one. It can act to filter out toxins from the patient's blood and the breasts and buttocks carry clusters of non-differential cells with destabilized DNA allowing for limited regeneration of the patient. These clusters do replenish themselves, but the process is slow. So while the tentacle can supply the equivalent of Kick Start + or with long term care Kick Start 'Solo' it cannot produce the near instantaneous effects of the drugs or be used for every patient. The ends of these limbs end in several suckers with a fang-like injector in the center of each, ensuring a proper seal while connected.

This Stormer is notably less aggressive than other Stormers and more defensive in nature, which is understandable given its support role. Most of their knowledge base is purely medical and their brains are able to alter their circadian rhythms allowing them to tirelessly work in an operating theater to patch up the wounded for several days straight. In truth many of the techniques and adaptations used in the Serene were originally for more 'recreational' purposes.
