Company Report - 'Violent Grafix'
890 SD - FAO R&D, Finance, Acquisition Depts : Power Projects (PP)

Violent Grafix have been a small but profitable company, trading in the lucrative armour repair/customisation market. Although Phase Inc. are considered by many as THE company to go to for all repair and customisation requirement, Violent Grafix have continued to grow, maintaining a good market share. At psent they are trading as an 'indie', but have plans to launch themselves onto the shares market within 6 months.
After careful consideration of all factors I would advise the board to buy a controlling interest in this company, as it would provide a good return in the short to medium term, and an excellent return in the long term. You will also find enclosed here a report from the R&D department of Violent Grafix for a new form of street legal Keshang aimed at the operative market.

Address to PP board members and department heads by DR R.Lindstrand 890SD

To - DR R. Lindstrand, Corporate Sector Financial Advisor.

Many thanks for your psentation and thorough report. After careful consideration we have decided to buy a controlling interest in Violent Grafix, and to invest in the development of the new Kashang design. Your fee has been paid into the usual account.

The new Keshang design from Violent Grafix has taken 10 years to develop, test and liscence. Power Projects is now happy to announce the arrival of THE greatest innovation in personal transport since the motorbike. We psent the new PP 1012 Class 'Combat Chassis'......

PP announcement at the annual Mort Trade show, 900 SD.

Violent Grafix took a long hard look at the basic Keshang idea. The basis of the keshang is that is is an armoured 'shell' on wheels. To make this into a combat armour for SLA Operatives would have been both difficult and expensive. The compartment in the normal Keshang is able to hold a single un/lightly armoured person (ie Padquil or Striker armour), but the size of the compartment would have to be much larger to allow room for an armoured operative. The Keshang would then become so large that it would take on the proportions of a small car, and thus negate the benefits of the Keshang. With the help of a substantial research grant from Power Projects the team at Violent Grafix have been able to develop a powered chassis that fits onto all armour types. This means that the armour provides the protective 'shell', whilst the chassis provides the propulsion.

The chassis resembles an exo skeleton that the Operative then bolts into. The advantage over a motorcycle is an increased carrying capacity via storage modules, and the fact that it is usable by the larger armour types (a motorcycle cannot be riden by someone wearing anything heavier than Powercell armour).

Following an agreement between MAL and PP the Chassis can now carry the largest of all armour types, MAL Shock.

The Combat Chassis comes in four classes; Alpha, Beta,Delta and Delta-Shock.

  • Alpha - PP 644 Blocker, PP 7 Exo, PP 8, PP 9.
  • Beta - PP 10 Hard, PP 70 Powercell.
  • Delta - PP 100 Crackshot, PP 104 Dogeybone.
  • Delta-Shock - MAL Shock.

The chassis can be p-programmed by the operative with upto 5 different positions so as to provide maximum comfort. The Chassis is powered with an independent power supply providing 40,000 hours of user life.

Due to the frame design of the 1012 most hits are taken by the armour of the driver. Randomise hits 70% to driver and 30% to Chassis. All aimed shots at chassis are at -1, plus moving target penalty. Aimed shots at specific parts on the Chassis (ie pPods, engine, lights etc) are not possible.

Optional Extras: All classes of the 1012 can be fitted with carrying pods for equipment. These are bolted onto the frame and come in various shapes and sizes to accomodate most equipment/weapons. They range in cost from 5C - 400C, and can be provided in any colour at no extra cost.

The 1012 chassis can also be fitted with a weapons pod to carry varying armaments. The basic pod costs 1000C, plus the cost of the weapon.

The 1012 chassis can be customised to the individual requirements of the Operative, and will easilly take any of the following equipment....

  • IR/UV Nightsights - 30C each
  • SLA communicator - 5C
  • Third Eye Nava-Map - 15C (disc available at 2C/sector)
  • Track Optics Motion Scanner - 35C
  • Track Optics Enviro Scanner - 8C
  • SLA Thumper Beacon - 4C
  • SLA Flashlights/Headlights
  • 2 x 1000w headlight - 6C
