Doppleganer Foldworm

"Dark Lament can rant and rave all they want, but I think it's clear to everyone now that Karma and Biogenetics are not a passing fad, not a small boon to the World of Progress, not a disposable trend - but a lasting science that will, in fact, outlast any of Preceptor's toys. It was Mr. Slayer himself who founded our organization way back when his dream was just begining; he was the one who provided the guiding light, and we have thanked him most profusely with our new developement of FoldWorms. No longer must we depend on the whims of the Ebb to ferry us around the World of Progress. Now, it's our turn."

-Marcus Delani, Head of Doppleganger Institute, 905 SD

This spring, the first FoldWorms emerged from Karma's highly secret factories on Artery, tunneling their way through space using the revelotionary Wormhole technology that has been the buzz these last few months. Unable to discuss the workings of these giant biogenetic creations due to copywrite restrictions, Karma instead showed us what they could do by taking one quarter of their shipping away from DL's foldships, and by establishing their own passenger line, TunnelTransit. In six months, Karma's expects to have enough Worms operational for all their shipping needs throughout the universe.

Resembling their namesake, the FoldWorms are equipped with life-supporting chambers, conneted by sphinters, which house the crew and cargo of each vessel. They are entirely biogenetic, and require some paste maintenance during wormfolds, including a small crew for feeding. Other than that, only a Worm Technician is needed to direct the FoldWorm. Attendents are provided for passenger flights.

Karma has repeatedly denied rumors of their vessels disturbing the Ebb, but has agreed to build a second drop station in orbit around Mort for their exclusive use. It is known that Besinkievkedo (Guidance) is used by the FoldWorms as a reference point, in a similar manner to Foldship Navigators.

"We nailed those damn ebb bastards to the wall!! Bloody whiners can't take it when we top 'em."
-Maxon Hagen, not for broadcast, Artery 905 SD

INTERNAL AFFAIRS PLATINUM REPORT

SCL Clearance: 1
To: Head Office
Regarding: FoldWorm Technology
From: A. Donovan, Director of Internal Affairs Department

Summation:

I have personally verified the rumors surounding the FoldWorms: Marcus Delani, under the direction of Strand, has infused ebb souls into the special stormers he calls FoldWorms. Under coding stimulation and direct reprogramming, he has tapped into their latent ebb abilities and found the proper biochemical stimulation involved to create folding devices. This is, of course, in direct violation of the Horizon Edict against the contamination of ebb with biogenetics. However, there is no evidence to suggest the tampering with Outside powers. That, at least, is untrue.

Recommendation:

Marcus Delani should be targeted for an IA extermination, and I recommend using IA7, as he is highly qualified in the area of factory accidents. You may remember the horrendous 330 Gator accident last quarter, which took the life of the visiting CoreTeam Two. Delani will serve as a sufficient warning to Karma.

The Doppleganger Institute, under new leadership, should be allowed to continue their FoldWorm program, allowing no mishaps with leaked information, as well as the addition of Dark Finder security on *all* of their vessels. Teeth will need a 'councling session' for his end.

I once again recommend the use of IA13 against Hagen for his slanderous comments during the whole affair. IA13 is wonderful with media assassinations, and the only other IA qualified, IA8, was used by Karma's LAD during winter 899. I do not think Strand will be too upset over Hagen, due to his other worries with the FoldWorms.

As always, I will provide any needed details at lunch.
