When the System Fights Back

Keeping the bad guys' bullets, blades and other assorted environmental hazards is essential for a longer career of being a mobile target. Of course, some are better than others and this type of kit is a rare and prized commodity on the street, marking the user out to either being rich, someone to shoot at or just a generally hard bastard. There is noRacial Equality Program, you want bigger armour, you pay for it.

Thresher

None of their KADC ever hits the streets, much to everyone’s disappointment and what does, (ever so infrequently) is their export lines, which have none of the nice electronic systems, fire control or jump packs. You can forget about trying to hunt down the KADC versions, mostly because whoever wearing one is more trouble than its worth and it slags down into its constituent molecules with nanites in the power chassis. Never the less, they do tend to carry some of the tougher and more durable suits on the markets with excellent chassis.

TH.001E Endeavour

This armour is no longer manufactured in large numbers but can be found easily on Thresher worlds because it was once the standard infantry power armour and is now used widely by Home Guard, support echelon troops. Power chassis and parts are quite common. It is also popular in its non-KAD-C version for sale to outside buyers.

TH.002E One-Way

This is standard Power armour for Thresher Infantry and hence, becoming more common as a suit used by agents because it is cheap, rugged and can be fitted with a wide variety of accessories. It's also more likely to be found as an item modified to suit larger species. The non-KAD-C version is well liked off world by mercenaries and props, if they have the money.

Features:

TekTrex

Currently running the high tech edge, more aimed at the techno-geeks out there who want a little more protection it does tend to be lighter, less durable than most but a fair few of its suits have some very interesting features. This makes them popular with some operators who don’t mind working out the peculiarities and technical features in them to give them a definite edge.

TTA-90 Armalite

A light and relatively cheap suit of armour that comes standard with some nice features, which make it well worth the money. It does lack durability but makes up for it by being quick, very hard to detect and reliable.

KillaChassis

Premier armour for the uni, specialising in the heavier classes which make them both top dollar and while everyone who wants one, few can afford. Still, there’s nothing quite like cutting a swathe of style through a SHIVER picket line at 100km/h and pasting some retard in green blocker all over your suit.

KC armours typically have massive construction and as a result of additional protection, users don’t take blunt trauma from anything that doesn't Pen the suit.

KC Mk.17 Shiban

Technically KC market the Shiban as a light infantry armour, which is something for collectors to argue over endlessly as its probably pound for pound twice as tough as any other ‘light infantry’ armour anyone else uses. Popular armour amongst props because it has almost zero maintenance required for its power chassis and is quite comfortable to wear for long periods of time. It has simple and robust fittings and for the money is quite good value.

+2 to STR
20,000 hour power supply, air filtration, fully sealed IR/UV vision
Cost 180,000u
PV: 10

KC Mk.3 Banespike

A full step up in protection, the Banespike offers a lot more protection, durability and features than the Shiban’s. Designed as heavy combat armour it has a massive power chassis based off their old ‘Sinner’ power armour. Popular amongst the well-equipped veterans it is almost a rarity to find one that is still unmodified by its owner.

KC Mk.7 Widowmaker

Like something that’s crawled almost out of the conflict wars this massive suit of powered armour is capable of dishing out and taking massive amounts of punishment. Most often this armour turns up in the hands of ex-veteran militia or anyone else with the money to get their hands on it.

KC Mk.13 Shadowkiss

Resurrected from a bygone time, the Shadowkiss is the largest commercially available suit of powered armour which is probably closer to a true powersuit in its construction. Its production is very high and the price exorbitant for most but it does sell to private buyers who can afford it. KC sell this as their premier armour and a great deal of effort is ensured that the suit is built from the finest materials to carry the company name into the next millennium.
