Buyer Beware

Sharks patrol these waters, yes sir.

These waters bring the lost, the fallen and the great and small among them to the wrong side of the law. Be you a fallen op, Thresher eugenic powersuit pilot, DarkNight subversive, soft company privateer, prop or just a man or woman on a mission, you’ll ply these dark depths.

SLA makes the rules for you to break because there’s no turning back on this ocean my friend, turn your head for an instant though and she’ll rise up behind you and send you down. There’s no LAD to pick you up when you fall, every move has to be the right one and every mistake your last, otherwise you’ll die or at the very least leave you with some nice scars to remind you of why you don’t fuck up.

Why you're here doesn't matter.
Where you got the uni’s doesn’t either.
How you leave does.
Brains, brawn and smarts on the street will only get you so far in the universe and don’t think for a second you can make a difference. What you need to keep rolling is some gear.
Hard bucks.
Hardware.
You hit the road with no means to achieve your mission and you may as well go buy yourself one of those nice dinky little CAF guns, stick it in your mouth and pull the trigger, save everyone the bother. Oh no my erstwhile customer, your reasons to be kicking at the walls of SLA or anyone else that gets in your way are your own.

This sourcebook is designed for GM’s looking to up the threat rating on a personal level versus PC’s, equipping a prime bad guy or NPC protagonist in a bit better kit, better drugs than the main rulebooks haven’t covered. To some degree it could also be used to have PC’s with undercover equipment if you're playing a rival’s game or to put a bit of fear back into hardened PC campaigners. Mostly I wanted to bulk up DN and TT a little with this material as I think they're lacking at the higher end of the spectrum. Thresher is more or less a completed project of mine and I do not have the time (unless someone invents a 36hr day) to make up equivalent sourcebooks for the other rivals as much as I would love to. Some of their gear is in here too, not the very good stuff, just the stuff they can deal with if it’s turned against them and they don’t like to share tech, unlike TT and DN who can afford to make a lot of money out of theirs, they don’t have the industrial might.

As always, modify it to suit your game.
