Creation - Ebb Ability

Creation allows the Ebb user to create science friction equipment and weapons.

 
Rank 1. Forge This isn’t actually anything to do with creation, but instead is the Ebon’s knowledge of materials and their properties. It’s required for further progression through the Path.
Rank 2. Create Gem 1 The Smith can create basic flux gems that can store a given amount of flux. The gem must be ‘manually’ refilled with flux. The amount of flux stored is directly governed by how much flux is used to create the gem.
Rank 3. Create armour 1 The Smith can create very simple armour. The armour can be of any type but it’s PV and ID cost 1 flux for every 2pts, up to the maximum of 4PV and 12ID. This armour cannot be used for the Path of Defence though.
Rank 4. Create Weapon 1 The Smith can create a simple weapon, often a blade, that can be charged at the lower levels of certain Paths (Those that deal with damage).
Rank 5. Create Gem 2 The Smith can create better flux gems. The storage costs are as those of lv2 but halved (ie for a gem to store 4 flux would cost the Smith 2 flux only). Again refilling is ‘manual’.
Rank 6. Create Aid The Smith can create an object that will aid a Caster in certain Paths. These aids replace Thermal Gauges, Distracters, Pathfinders, Jade Probes and Focus’, but each Aid must be specially dedicated to a given path. Cost 10 flux per Aid.
Rank 7. Create Light Gem The Smith can create gems that are used by the Path of Light. Cost 10 flux per gem.
Rank 8. Create Armour 2 The Smith can create better armour that can withstand the rigours of the Path of defence. Max PV 8 ID 50. The cost is the same as Lv3.
Rank 9. Create weapon 2 The Smith can create a weapon that is charged with a single path ability (ie Path of Fire Lv4). The weapon will only ever perform this single ability. Each weapon costs 20 flux each and also requires knowledge of the specified rank of the specified Path.
Rank 10. Refinement 1 The Smith now has the skill to refine an object already made. This is usually employed in reducing the size of an object without changing its abilities. Cost in flux is equal to half the creation cost of the object.
Rank 11. Create Gem 3 These are the best flux gems the Smith can ever create. They can store large amounts of flux and will automatically start drawing in flux moments after creation. Cost is that of lv5.
Rank 12. Create Armour 3 The Smith can create armour that is incredibly strong and light. Max PV and ID are 16 and 120 respectively. The cost is still the same as before.
Rank 13. Create weapon 3 These weapons are prized possessions and are rarely created. The blade of the weapon does not actually exist until activated; all that exists prior to activation is the hilt. When activated the blade shimmers into existence. The blade is treated as having pen 10 and damage as user +5.
Rank 14. Master This rank does not actually involve in the creation of anything but instead infers on the Smith the ability to create an object at a reduced cost. An object’s cost will be half the normal cost.
Rank 15. True Creation Again a non-physical ability. At this point the Smith has achieved true understanding in the relationship between an object and the ebb. From now on, only in conjunction with the relevant rank (16-19), the Smith does not need any materials before beginning creation but instead creates the objects directly from the ebb.
Rank 16. True Gem The Smith can create the gems needed for storing flux.
Rank 17. True Armour The Smith can create the armour that can take ebb abilities.
Rank 18. True Weapon The Smith can create the ebb-ready weapons.
Rank 19. True Aid The Smith can create any aid.
Rank 20. Final Creation All costs are a quarter of the original costs to create anything (Rounding up, minimum one flux).

Now the thing is that this was written for a setting that does not have the equipment that is available in the World of Progress. Luckily I have commented what each item replaces, where applicable, and as such you can just swap them back.
