Ebb Material Form allows the Ebb user to change the substance of their body into other types of materials such as metals, sands and liquids.
| Rank 1. Stone Form | The Ebon is able to transform their skin, including DeathSuit, into a stone-like substance. Such a transformation greatly improves the Ebon’s PV, but the Ebon is unable to move due to the fact the substance is very heavy and is one solid piece. Stone Form can be dropped at any time for no lasting effect, or cost in flux. Cost 5 flux, duration CONC in minutes |
| Rank 2. Metal Form | As above but the substance is a form of solid, and I must stress solid, metal. Again no movement possible and the form can be dropped for no permanent effect or cost. Cost 5 flux, duration CONC in minutes |
| Rank 3. Solid Form | The Ebon is able to transform their skin into any kind of solid substance but cannot move whilst as that substance. As before the ebon can revert to normal for no lasting effect and no cost. Cost 5 flux, duration CONC in minutes. |
| Rank 4. Move Solid | This is used in conjunction with any of the previous ranks and allows the ebon to move whilst in one of the solid forms. No flux required and duration is permanent. |
| Rank 5. Sand Form | The ebon can turn themselves, including DeathSuit, but not clothes or any other equipment, into a pile of sand. No movement is possible except by outside force. Wind and other outside forces may attempt to scatter the ebon, to avoid this the Ebon must make a CONC roll at –6 to stay together otherwise takes a point of damage for every point of sand that blows away, every second point is dealt to the deathsuit instead. This damage is dealt when the Ebon changes back to their normal form. (The sand is made up of enough points to equal all the hit points of the ebon, legs, arms, head and torso, plus the ID of the deathsuit.) Cost 6 flux, duration CONC in minutes |
| Rank 6. Granular Form | As above but the Ebon can turn into a pile of any granulated substance, sand, salt, sugar, dust, etc, that they wish. Cost 6 flux, duration CONC in minutes |
| Rank 7. Semi-solid Form | The Ebon can turn into any form of semi-solid, jelly, gel, ooze, etc as they wish. As with the Sand Form they take a point of damage for every point of their semi-solid form that is removed. Cost 6 flux, duration CONC in minutes |
| Rank 8. Move Semi-solid | Like Rank 4 the Ebon can now move whilst in a semi-solid form. No cost and duration is permanent |
| Rank 9. Water Form | The Ebon can turn themselves and their deathsuit into a puddle of water. The ebon can only move if carried in a container or by flowing down a slope, even then they cannot control how or where they flow. The Ebon can take damage but this time in various forms, it is entirely up to the GM how the damage is dealt and the physical cost of such damage. Cost 7 flux, duration CONC in minutes |
| Rank 10. Liquid Form | The Ebon can now turn themselves into any form of liquid, including mercury, but have to beware of the effects that may result in such a change. For example acid will damage everything in the immediate area, mercury gives off poisonous fumes, ethanol evaporates at a low temperature, etc. This means the Ebon can cause themselves, as well as others, harm by inadvertently choosing the wrong liquid. GMs discretion as to effects that may occur when an ebon chooses a particular liquid. Cost 7 flux, duration CONC in minutes. |
| Rank 11. Move Liquid | The Ebon can now consciously control how their liquid form moves, this includes climbing walls and such. No cost and duration is permanent |
| Rank 12. Vapour Form | The Ebon can turn themselves, and their DeathSuit of course, into a cloud of vapour, usually water vapour, but it is up to the player what material the vapour is. The Ebon has no control over where they drift but only need to pass a CONC roll at –2 to stay together. Cost is 8 flux, duration CONC in minutes |
| Rank 13. Control Vapour | The Ebon can now control how their vapour form moves and where they go. No cost and duration is permanent |
| Rank 14. Gaseous Form | The Ebon can now to into any form of gas, though again they need to be careful, as some gases will burn in certain conditions, GMs discretion. The Ebon has no control over where they move in their gaseous form, and this includes rising and falling because of convection currents. A CONC roll at –8 is needed for the Ebon to keep the various atoms that make up his gaseous form together. Cost 9 flux, duration CONC in minutes |
| Rank 15. Control Gaseous Form | The Ebon can now control where they move whilst in a gaseous form. No cost and duration permanent |
| Rank 16. Energy Form | The Ebon can turn themselves into a form of energy but must then obey the laws of physics for that energy form. A CONC roll at –6 is needed to stay together and another at –10 if the Ebon wants to limit the area they cover if the energy form is vibratory, light, etc. Cost 10 flux, duration CONC in minutes |
| Rank 17. Control Energy | The Ebon can now control how they move whilst in an energy form but still must obey the laws of physics, example; an Ebon is a vibration energy form cannot move through a vacuum. No cost and duration is permanent. |
| Rank 18. Manifest Form | The Ebon can physically control the form they are in to such a degree that they can make it look like them. To clarify; an Ebon using Manifest Form in conjunction with Water Form can look like who they are, but made of water. Cost is 10 flux regardless of form rank, duration CONC in minutes. |
| Rank 19. Multiple Forms | The Ebon can form themselves into several different substances with little difficulty. A CONC roll is needed with a negative modifier for every extra substance after the second. Cost is 15 flux, regardless of how many materials, and duration is CONC in minutes |
| Rank 20. Ever Form | The Ebon can be whatever form they wish for however long they wish, this rank also let’s them take items with them as well. If the Ebon wishes to take another living being with them then they must pass a CONC roll with the negative modifier being the other person’s CONC. Cost 20 flux, duration is entirely at the player’s whim. |
