Their main objective seems to be they are not happy with SLA and want to replace them. We know from the MRB that they have a limited supply of manufacturing places and that they seem to be quite a nomadic group, staying in one place for only enough time to get extra resources. We also know that they like doing hit and run tactics, using the power of their pre-conflict war technology to overcome any threat. So how else can they be used?

My first question was what their main targets would likely be on Mort. I think they'd be going for whatever would cause the most disruption to Sla industries, for example taking out power generators and water supply. Trying to damage the infrastructure of places like Suburbia and Uptown as much as possible in as short a time as possible.

Secondly they would try to recover anything of value to them, for example, any captured Thresher equipment (or other power armours/weaponry), or tactical personnel that have been captured. They might also try raiding orphanages for feral Ebons (one of the areas that I guess Thresher are lacking in).

This leads to the question of how they get to their destination. One of the ideas given in the MRB is that they use dropships, but how would these get past the planetary defenses of Mort? I think they'd use the FoldShips they have from the Nitro legion to do high atmosphere folds which them release a large number of dropships into the atmosphere to hurtle towards their destinations. As good as SLA defenses are, I can't see them getting all of them.

Which begs the question of how do they know what targets to go for. My answer is that the strike teams of Thresher PowerSuits are only the frontline troops and that they have other infiltration teams throughout Mort. Disguised as gangs, cults and soft companies, these individuals gather information about an area and determine any potential targets that would cause maximum disruption to Sla. They would have access to a limited amount of Thresher weapons and equipment, but would prefer using Sla equipment so as not to give them selves away. They also establish get away routes for any attacking troops and will help them to escape.

How Does Thresher get its armours to Mort in the first place?

Maybe one of the manufacturing plants for Thresher armours is buried deep inside one of the Cannibal Sectors. Maybe those with suits have just been on Mort for a long, long time. Maybe the space defenses aren't all they are cracked up to be, after all how do you 'defend' against Ebons using Reality Folding?
