Bio block numbs an area adding a bonus of +5 to your PHYS roll vs Pain for immediate pain :
ie: Your leg is about to have a bullet pulled out of it. Normally the GM would make you roll 2d10+PHYS-10 to remain conscious, however the medic has injected you with Bio-block first, so you now only have to roll 2d10+PHYS-5 instead.
Pain Solver is used for continuous pain that causes distraction (ie: a CONC modifier). Pain Solver can reduce the penalty by up to three points, but can not reduce it past below -1.
ie: Two hours after removing the bullet your leg is still throbbing with pain. Normally the GM would install a penalty of -3 to any tasks that require CONC rolls. However you chug down some Pain Solver and the penalty is reduced to just -1
Pro-Cane is used for continuous pain that causes distraction (ie: a CONC modifier). Pain Solver acts in the same way as Pain Solver but only negates up to two points of any penalty. It also can not reduce a penalty to below -1.
Aprolap vitamins are used to prevent scurvy and other illnesses inherent with the poor eating conditions on Mort. Anyone who does not eat a balanced diet or consume a vitamin a day for a whole month will find that their PHYS is reduced by 1. Vitamins also give +1 to PHYS rolls vs Poisons on the day they are consumed. Multiple vitamins do not enhance the benefits any further.
Used as an anti-depressant by civilians, GlowGood gives a +1 to COOL following the hour after being taken. They also negate two ranks of Psychoses: Depression and Sleeper: Bad for a twenty-four hour period. Multiple tablets do not give any further tablet, beyond the +1 to COOL in the hour following consumption of a tablet. GlowGood is addictive at a rate of -1 PHYS/10 tablets.
Again uses as an anti-depressant, FeelGood cigarettes give a +1 to COOL for the duration of the cigarette and a half hour afterwards. However the health risks of the cigarettes require a PHYS test once a month (-1 per every ten cigarettes smoked per day on average througout the month). A failure results in the PHYS stat being reduced by 1. FeelGoods are addictive at a rate of -1 PHYS/20 cigarettes.
Used as a stimulant, Hypnonock gives +1 to CONC for one hour. Hyponock is addictive at the rate of -1 PHYS/10 tablets.
