Dark Lament Employee

History

Berial was a creative and bright child, yet by the standards of the Ebon race, this is unexceptional. Truly definable as an average nobody, Berial was, at least, smart enough to be accepted into Dark Lament as a low-grade flux-technician. A position with minimal prospects in storage and supplies. He lived a 'cog in the machine' existance in many ways, got a girl named Yera-linn, worked well at his job and never seemed to capture the attention of those around him. Except when he stumbled into a questionable transaction between Darlent, his superior, and a trio of unnamed Ebb-users he couldn't identify.

Plucking up the courage to confront Darlent the next day, he joined into a secret society, pursuaded not to reveal the incident and brought into the fold by Darlent, who was himself a little man in the underground Revelation group. Berial thrilled at the secrets and mystique, even though he had little actual contact with the his fellow members. Their task of 'bringing light to the worlds' convinced him to help in any way he could. Slayer's tyrrany of ignorance would be brought down! Of course, Darlent was really just a black-market supplier, dealing DL gear to the rogue and rival Ebons he know thorugh a web of underground contacts. Still, no reason to tell Berial all this...

Personality

Berial is a genuine guy, pleasant, hard working and scarily willing to help. He dreams of bigger things than himself and his world, longs to belong but is sadly manipulated by Darlent, whom he considers his guide and mentor in all things.

Appearance: Tall and slim, smewhat attractive, if elfin seeming, he has waspish white hair and slightly tanned skin, his aspect and attitude is youthful and friendly, though a bit 'spaced' or weird after a while. Age: 22, Weight: 145lbs, Height: 6'2'', Hair: White. Eyes: White, Complexion: Lightly tanned.

Game Use

1. When Darlent realises that his dept. is under suspicion, he sets up Berial to take the fall, whether the investigating Ops realise, or care is another story.
2. Berial clicks and Darlent has a DN-gang kidnap Linn, Berial has to get the investigating Ops to save her, holding the conclusive proof against Darlent as his bargaining chip.
3. The Ops, especially Ebons, may be convinced by the intentions of The Revelation by Berial, how impressed will they be when they realise that the group is only DarkNight given a cover story by Darlent?
