Rival Disadvantage
General (Circumstantial) disadvantage giving you one point per rank. Ranks govern the level of opposition so a five point Rival would be of roughly the same level as you.

| 2 | A former girl/boyfriend who now works as an Employee |
| 3 | A fellow Operative who graduated from Meny 6 months after you |
| 4 | A gang member who is still with the gang that you used to run with |
| 5 | A fellow Operative who graduated from Meny at the same time as you |
| 6 | A Shiver Sergeant who is based around your living area |
| 7 | A fellow Operative who graduated from Meny 6 months before you |
| 8 | A Third Eye News reporter, who you used to date |
| 9 | A Shiver Captain who runs a precinct nearby you |
| 10 | Your malevolent half-brother/sister who now works for Cloak |
These descriptions are of course subject to the individual GM.
A rival will attempt to show you up and compete with you at every possible occasion but will not actively seek your death or dismemberment - he or she wants you around so that your face can be continually rubbed in their superiority.
