The Kick Murder Squad training package has one of the highest drop-out rates in Meny. Contrary to popular belief the Kick Murder training program has no time for those trainees who want to become Contract Killers and gain their fifteen minutes of fame. Instead it is primarily concerned with providing SLA Industries with Operatives trained in all aspects of covert actions. Those expecting to be taught how to be Contract Killers are quickly identified and transferred to the Strike Squad package instead. The training for Kick Murder Squad comprises of three main areas; Infiltration of hostile (urban) locations, Bodyguard/ Protection skills and Hostile Close Combat Engagements/ Assassination. From day one at Meny graduates are taught that if the enemy does not know you are there then you have already won the battle. More than any other package Kick Murder Squad trainees have a very physical training programme, which comprises of intensive Martial Arts training and Acrobatics as well as the trainees choice of close combat weapon. This combat training is further combined into the other areas of study for the trainee.
The most important skills besides combat that the trainee learns are those stealth and hiding. Combined with the rudimentary climbing skills, this allows the trainee to learn how to break into buildings and locations quietly and unnoticed. The training programme involves locating and stealing documents, planting surveillance devices, disabling building guards as well as the potential for assassination. The second term of training is one of Bodyguard skills, or more precisely how to prevent someone using the methods taught in the first term. As well as general theory into protecting someone in a building, the trainee is also taught how to guard someone on the street from any attempted attacks. Usually the Kick Murder Squad trainee will be last line of defence in such an attack and needs to know how best to prevent it happening. In most situations they are taught that it is best if they are not identified as Bodyguards before any attack, allowing them to go unnoticed by the attackers and giving them the advantage. To assist this approach, many trainees learn additional skills like Disguise so they will blend into the general entourage of any person they are protecting.
Upon graduation at Meny the Kick Murder Squad trainee has several options in their future career. The majority join normal squads and concentrate on either their close combat skills or their infiltration abilities. It is not uncommon for Kick Murder Squad graduates to team up with Scout graduates, using their combined skills to infiltrate and retrieve company secrets and lost items. A second common area for Kick Murder Squad graduates is that of Bodyguard. Like the Death Squad graduate they are normally hired by Media, Investigative or Finance graduates who need protection in their normal line of work. As well as protection their skills often come in handy for finding evidence and information for those that hire them. A final area that a few Kick Murder graduates go towards is covert actions against the skin trade and gangs. Normally starting as additional protection for undercover Investigators, they expand their skills so that they can become moles in enemy organisations, passing data and information to Cloak Division and Internal Affairs. The very best are often hired exclusively by one of the two departments and they are then used in off-world actions or infiltration into the core structure of the main rival companies. For many Kick Murder Squad graduates this is seen as the pinnacle of their achievements.
