Commentary by James Fullerton: Now I thought we'd have had more 'created' Serial Killers, but this was the only one and it's a good'un. Vevaphons reassembling the insides of people, very nice!

It began in 895 s.d, Bridgette Sullivan, a Karma researcher, was found in her apartment, dead. Her body had been burst open from the inside, and all her internal organs had been removed and then reattached incorrectly. There was no blood on the floor, and all of the surgery had been done by a mastercraftsman. Cause of death was finally determined as the abdominal cavity being connected to the base of the skull and the heart. The woman was killed by all the blood in her body being pumped into her abdomen and from there into her skull. There was no signs of forcible entry into the building, but some base DNA from a Vevaphon biogenetic was found near the corpse. Her body had been propped up against the door, and above the body, a simple message had been written.

"I am Adam, I am the Darkness."

A month followed, and another victim, this one a Dark Lament technician, killed in the same fashion, but this time, all the muscles in her body had been transplanted into her chest, the resultant overload of tension had caused a heart attack. Above her head, the message:

"I am Adam Two, I am the Light."

Again, a small measure of Vevaphon DNA was found near the corpse.

A month followed, another victim. From the Karma facility on artery, Doctor Aron Tecian, head of the bioweapons program there. He had been skinned from the inside out, not a drop of blood spilled, above the body, the message:

"I am Adam Three, I am your creation."

Again, a small measure of Vevaphon DNA was found near the corpse.

Over the next three months, three more people, 2 Dark Lament, one Karma technician, were all killed in the same manner, always a small amount of Vevaphon DNA was found in the vicinity of the corpse.

The Messages continued

"I am Adam Four, I am the evil in man."

"I am Adam Five, I am War."

The last victim, Joanne Sturm, from Dark Lament, had a camera installed in her apartment. It recorded the details of the killing very accurately. From the vantage point in the apartment, the camera clearly viewed the creature flowing into an glass full of water, taking the place of the drink perfectly. Ms Sturm drank the water, sealing her fate. As the camera recorded, she sat at her table and stopped moving, the dissection process was all done from within her, the only sign of her killer was when it crawled from inside her and wrote on the table before expiring a short way away.

"I am Adam Six, I am the shape of things to come."

Shortly after the death of Ms Sturm, Dr Alexandra Teknay, head of the biogenetics program within the Karma facility, surrendered herself to protective custody. Under close examination from Cloak Division, she revealed details of a project that she and six other people had been working on without the aid or sanction of SLA. The project was to create the perfect bio-morphic assassin, a creature fully capable of imitating anything and anyone, flawless in its mimicry of items around it. This creature could then be programmed and lie in wait, for decades if necessary, before fulfilling its program.

They hadn't figured on it developing a taste for life.

The creature broke free of the labs, understanding what it was, and knowing that if more of its kind were produced, life would become a commodity to be bought and sold more cheaply than any could possibly understand. It understood that it, and its creators had to die. They had given the creature the capability to reproduce itself to facilitate completion of its task, the original plan was that the creature could multiply to take down its target if required. This is thought to be how the creature killed all the others without ending its own existence. It was theorised that once the creature had killed all the people who had created it, it would terminate its own existence.

A month after Dr Teknay handed herself into custody, she was found dead in the safehouse where she was being protected. From the appearances of the body when it was found, it is thought that the creature entered her, and then multiplied using her own body tissues, the husk that was left contained nothing but Vevaphon DNA, all the human material having been used up.

As always, a message was left, but no Vevaphon DNA was found near the corpse.

"I am Adam Seven, Fear Me."

The current whereabouts and plans of Adam Seven are not known, and given it's capabilities, it is pointless to try and find it. Maybe one day, something can be done about it, but not at the moment.
