330 Gator Stormer

These custom designed Artery security Stormers are classified as the 330 Gator. They are small (1.5m tall), stockily built creatures with stubby muscular arms, legs and tail. Their jaws are designed to lock after biting, and not to release their grip until their prey is dead. This has lead to the occasional accident involving unfortunate workers with non-existant or forgotten passes.

Security Stormers for the Planet Artery

"It was scorching outside and that always makes the Gators cranky. We got there about 2 minutes after Corporal Janus put through the SOS, but even that was too late. He'd only been with the team for a week, maybe ten days and he definitely wasn't one of the smartest cookies out there. Anyway we got there a fraction to late. His SOS had been some message about Gators and no ID card and he'd sounded pretty scared. As we got there we could see why. He had a Gator locked onto one of his legs and another holding on to his arm. Seemed they kept thinking he was struggling as they pulled him this way and that, both not realising that it was each other that was causing the movement. I grabbed my riot baton just as Janus' arm came off. Lucky for Janus the shock from the blood loss finished him off quickly - it took another ten minutes before we managed to beat the Gators off the body."

Artery Shiver Lt. Royal, SCL 7B.

Not known as the most intelligent of Stormers, the 330 Gator was designed more as a visual deterrant for the gangs and civilians that work throughout Artery. Feared as much for their stupidity as their sharp teeth, there are many stories of Gators attacking the local workers throughout Artery. It is this reputation that makes them the success that they are.

One of the first Stormer variants from the original 313 Malice, the Gators were the first succesful attempt to gain additional abilities from the Malice range. These improvements allowed for the exterior of the Gator to appear different than the original 313 variant. It also gave them the jaw strength that allowed them to lock their jaws on to a specific target. However, during these improvements the cognative abilities of the Gator were unavoidably reduced. It was decided that as the Gators were required more for urban protection than the diverse activities of an Operative, that this decrease in intelligence would not be a problem.

Throughout the centuries several additions have been implemented on the original Gator gene-code. The most obvious addition has been making the skin armoured, allowing the Gator a greater durability in the increasingly hostile environment of Artery. Their sense have also been increased so that they can sense movement and smell blood from a greater distance, allowing them to track targets more efficiently.
